Indeed they are, red dot scope or something like that was the word on the street.
Each paragraph had a different topic so just skim through it for some information. There was armour balance, large railgun projectiles being changed possible, racial melee weapons, how explo splash damage is applied and whatever else. |

On what basis? The laser rifle isnt used because people think its bad after its supposed nerf and dont want to put sp into the skills.
There is a difference between the weapon not being used and the weapon being underpowered. touching the range performance of it is going to give it huge performance buffs that it doesnt need, it will become FOTM once again and then it will get nerfed, putting us back to where we are now and just wasting time for everyone.
I just personally and I haven't used laser this build, think that the laser is too constrained. Based on your graph, the damage profile goes from 100% to less than 20% in 4m! That is a tiny distance to lose 80% of the weapons power. It seems artifical and it makes the weapon weaker than it needs to be.
Personally I'd like to see a curved damage profile starting at 100% at max optimal and going down to 0% at 250m which is its absolute max range. If it was a linear one then it would keep its power for far too long but if it was a finely tuned curve, then the damaged could be dropped quicker than linearly, but not so much as to totally make the weapon pointless at firing at a target past 89m.
We need more weapon graphs like this, if you consider the assault rifle, its damage curve must be completely different as its optimal range is a lot further from its effective range compared to the lasers. |
